Nestled on the hillside in the picturesque village of Gravir on the east coast of Lewis sits “Cosy Cottage” – Your Hebridean Hideaway.  This pretty, quaint 2 bedroom cottage is in a glorious peaceful location, boasting beautiful views and offering a tranquil base for exploring the island.

The cottage is ideally placed with a travelling time of around 40 minutes to all the main historic and scenic attractions of Lewis, the main town of Stornoway, and the outstanding beaches and scenery of Harris.

10 minutes drive from the cottage is Ravenspoint Visitors Centre, which offers a shop, cafe and a 24 hour petrol/diesel pump.

Magnificent deep glens and dramatic sea lochs are typical of the east coast, and there is an abundance of wildlife in the area surrounding Gravir, making it a favourite for nature lovers.

After a busy day exploring the area (which could include walking, cycling, fishing, sea kayaking, dolphin watching, strolling along the miles of beautiful beach, or simply visiting any of the plethora of attractions in Lewis and Harris), you can return to Hebridean Hideaway which offers a warm welcome and a peaceful retreat.  The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and snug.

Ground floor accommodation comprises living room with electric “coal effect” fire, 2 sofas (1 a double sofa bed) and digital TV (with free access to BBC iPlayer, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video); large dining kitchen with Nespresso coffee machine and electric “coal effect” fire; a large utility room with washing machine; and shower room with toilet and electric shower.

Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms: one with a king size bed; the other with 2 single beds.  All three beds have extremely comfortable pocket-sprung memory foam mattresses.

The cottage comes equipped with electric heating throughout, and all bedding and towels are also provided.  There is super, fast broadband wifi available all through the cottage.  The cottage is surrounded by a lovely garden with a south-facing patio, with glorious views up and down the glen.
