5/5 “Fantastic little cottage 40 mins drive from Stornoway. Very easy to find with David’s instructions even in the dark. Well equipped with everything you need – even for a teenager. It has fast broadband and Netflix so Seona was very happy. One of the highlights was when we were leaving the cottage one morning we stepped out the back door to 2 Golden Eagles soaring right above us – Spectacular. 5/5 “Lovely location in Gravir, a wee village positioned very close to stunning sea loch. The cottage is immaculate, and David provides everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. It’s very cosy, with plenty of space in the lounge and dining kitchen. Good wifi and a TV offering plenty of choice for the end of the day!
The terraced garden is lovely at the rear and captures the sun late into the afternoon, and we saw several deer stroll past from both the front and back of the property.
We saw an otter in the sea loch, a sea eagle, several golden eagles, a couple of buzzards, blonde highland cattle and a myriad of other wildlife. The locals are friendly and the island offers something for everyone.
